The Annie Ibok Scholarship is a one-time award given primarily to underserved students to offset the rising costs of undergraduate studies at Historically Black Colleges & Universities(HBCUs). This scholarship honors the late Mrs. Annie Ibok, a loving wife, mother, and RN from the Bay Area with a deep passion for supporting her community.
Eligibility
- Be a rising college freshman
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Attend and graduate from a high school or homeschool in Washington or California
Application
Applicants must submit all of the following in order to be considered for the Annie Ibok Scholarship:
- A completed application form
- One (1) scanned high school transcript (signed by a school official)
- Filename Format: Last_First_Transcript.pdf
- One (1) one academic letter of recommendation (signed)
- Filename Format: Last_First_Transcript.pdf
- Signature Requirements: If LOR is not scanned, a digital signature is required. If LOR is scanned, a physical signature is required
- One (1) Up-to-date resume
- Filename Format: Last_First_Resume.pdf
- One (1) one high-resolution business professional/casual photo (no selfies)
- Filename Format: Last_First_Headshot.jpg (.png and .jpeg also acceptable)
- One (1) answered essay question (select from the questions in the next section)
The scholarship seeks to invest in the futures of HBCU-bound students, many of whom will profoundly impact the world. Like many HBCU scholarships, we strive to expose students of color in areas with no HBCUs to these academic institutions' rich culture and greatness.
