The Antonia Maxon, Ph.D., Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Dr. Antonia Brancia Maxon by recognizing a Doctor of Audiology student who demonstrates the integrity, professionalism, and dedication to patient care that defined her career as an audiologist and educator.
Scholarship Details
- One $1,500 scholarship is awarded annually
- Recognizes a Doctor of Audiology student who exemplifies professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the field
- Scholarship is intended to support educational expenses
- Recipient is recognized at the CTAA Fall Conference and must attend to receive the award
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a Doctor of Audiology student
- Must be either a Connecticut resident or enrolled in a Doctor of Audiology program in Connecticut
- Must provide an official graduate transcript
- Must obtain letters of support from two faculty members
- Must submit all required application materials by the published deadline
Application Process
- Complete the online scholarship application.
- Submit proof of Connecticut residency or enrollment in a Connecticut Doctor of Audiology program.
- Upload an official graduate transcript.
- Arrange for two faculty members to submit letters of support.
- Respond to the required short-answer essay questions describing your qualifications and career goals.
- Submit the completed application by May 31 and attend the CTAA Fall Conference if selected as the recipient.
The Antonia Brancia Maxon, PhD Memorial Scholarship has been established to recognize a Doctor of Audiology student who best embodies the integrity, commitment, and professionalism that Dr. Toni Maxon exemplified to her patients, students, and peers over the years as a professor and audiologist.
