The Armature Fund is grounded in values of justice, access, and culture. We believe in resourcing the next generation of Louisiana-based artists who reflect the richness and diversity of our communities. This opportunity is open to students planning to attend a college or technical school during the coming academic year and pursuing studies in visual arts, theater arts, music, culinary arts, dance, literature or poetry, design or fashion, arts administration, film, animation, and other artistic practices.
Scholarship Details
- Awards up to $15,000 per student
- Supports undergraduate study and technical education in arts-related fields
- Application deadline: May 24th
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a Louisiana resident for at least four years
- Must plan to attend a college or technical school for the 2026–2027 academic year
- Must be pursuing a field in the arts (such as visual arts, music, theater, culinary arts, design, film, or related areas)
- Preference encouraged for students who identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application through the designated platform.
- Provide information on intended field of study in the arts.
- Submit any required supporting materials.
- Ensure all materials are submitted by May 24th.
The scholarship is designed to support the next generation of Louisiana creatives whose work shapes culture, storytelling, and community life across the state. Last year, the Armature Scholarship Fund awarded more than $85,000 in scholarships to eleven students from across Louisiana pursuing post-secondary education in the arts.
