Scholarship Description

The Ashtabula County Agricultural Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to students pursuing education at an accredited four-year college or two-year technical school. Awards are available to eligible students from Ashtabula County. Scholarship recipients receive their awards in two equal payments during the school year after submitting required tuition receipts and academic records. Students may receive a scholarship from the fund in up to three award cycles.

Application Process

  1. Complete all five pages of the scholarship application
  2. Obtain and submit the required transcripts of credits earned
  3. Obtain two current letters of recommendation that are signed and dated (one letter must be from a high school or college instructor, and the other must be from a trusted individual who is not a family member)
  4. Provide one passport or driver's license-style head-and-shoulder photo (do not submit a selfie)
  5. Review the application to make sure it includes the completed application, transcripts, both recommendation letters and the required photo
  6. If selected for an award, contact the scholarship treasurer after fall tuition fees have been paid and provide a copy of the paid fee receipt to receive the first half of the scholarship
  7. At the beginning of the second semester, submit a copy of the paid second-semester fee receipt and first-semester grades to receive the second half of the scholarship
  8. Contact the scholarship treasurer by July 1st of the year following the award to avoid forfeiting the scholarship
