The BAMM Scholarship Program supports high school seniors and undergraduate college students who have relocated to Northern California. This one-time award of $3,500 is presented to two students to assist with tuition or other educational expenses at a two-year or four-year college or university.
Scholarship Details
- Two scholarships available
- One-time award of $3,500 per recipient
- Funds are sent directly to the recipient’s college or university
- Open to high school seniors and undergraduate college students
- Relocation does not need to be work-related
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a senior in high school or an undergraduate student attending a greater Northern California area school
- Must have relocated and changed schools due to the move
- Relocation must be at least 50 miles away from previous residence and have lasted more than one year
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Application Process
- Complete the Scholarship Questionnaire and Application
- Include a list of extracurricular activities or a resume
- Submit an original essay (1,000-1,500 words) addressing the impact of relocation
- Have a guidance counselor complete the required form
- Submit an official transcript along with the guidance counselor form
- Application deadline: April 15th
The BAMM Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who have experienced relocation and want to share how the experience shaped their lives. BAMM selects winners based on academic performance, extracurricular involvement, and a personal essay detailing the impact of relocation on their life.
