The Broadcast Education Association (BEA) offers annual scholarships to support the academic and professional growth of students pursuing careers in electronic media. These scholarships honor excellence in broadcasting and are awarded to juniors, seniors, and graduate students attending BEA member institutions.
Scholarship Details
- Multiple scholarships awarded annually
- Scholarship recipients also receive membership in AERho, BEA’s honor society
- Awards are announced in late November
- Applicants are automatically considered for all BEA scholarships for which they are eligible
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a full-time junior, senior, or graduate student
- Must attend a BEA member institution
- Membership in BEA is not required to apply, but complimentary membership is available for undergraduates and some graduate students
Application Process
- Create a profile on the BEA website
- If needed, request a complimentary BEA membership code from your faculty advisor or by emailing BEA
- Complete the online scholarship application through the BEA portal
- Submit all required materials by the specified deadline (visit BEA website for official dates)
- Await scholarship announcements in late November
All transcripts must be submitted through the online application portal. If you have attended more than one school, please upload a transcript from each institution.
