Becca’s Closet awards multiple scholarships each year. We offer three types of non-renewable scholarships to recognize and support male and female high school seniors who have demonstrated exceptional, meaningful, and impactful community service during high school.
Scholarship Details
- Multiple non-renewable scholarships awarded annually
- Open to male and female graduating high school seniors
- Nationally competitive awards recognizing impactful community service
- Spirit of Community Scholarship award amount varies and does not require Becca’s Closet involvement
- Becca’s Closet Involvement Scholarship offers a minimum award of $1,000
- South Florida Involvement Scholarship offers a minimum award of $1,000 for eligible counties in Florida
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident
- Must be a graduating high school senior in the United States
- Must have a minimum 2.0 unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Must demonstrate outstanding, documented community service
- Spirit of Community applicants must demonstrate financial need using the FAFSA Submission Summary showing SAI
- Involvement Scholarships require verified participation in a Becca’s Closet chapter or supporting organization
Application Process
- Complete the Becca’s Closet scholarship application form
- Submit two letters of recommendation on official letterhead, one from a nonprofit sponsor and one from a school staff member
- Include an official high school transcript with a school seal
- Write and submit the required essay following the provided instructions
- Submit FAFSA documentation if applying for the Spirit of Community Scholarship
- Submit the application online or mail the completed paper application by the stated deadline
Becca, a 16 year old cheerleader, honor student, and caring young woman, passed away in a tragic automobile accident on August 20, 2003. Today, her family and friends not only remember Becca for her great love and friendship, but also for her contributions to the community.
