Beyond Scholars is a scholarship program designed specifically for the diabetes community. This year, Beyond Scholars offers needs-based scholarships of $10,000 for students living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes as they pursue their educational dreams.
Scholarship Details
- $10,000 needs-based scholarship
- Available to students living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes
- Open to those attending 2-year, 4-year, or technical colleges in the U.S. or U.S. territories during the coming academic year
- Includes 6 months of free wellness coaching as part of the award package
- Administered by Beyond Type 1 through the Beyond Scholars program
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must graduate high school in Spring/Summer prior to scholarship Application deadline
- Must plan to attend a U.S.-based college, university, or technical school in the coming academic year
- Must demonstrate financial need
Application Process
- Visit the Beyond Type 1 website to access the Beyond Scholars application
- Complete the application form with personal, academic, and health-related information
- Submit required documentation, including proof of diabetes diagnosis and financial need
- Include a personal statement or essay detailing your goals, challenges, and aspirations
- Submit your application by the published deadline (see website for specific dates)
