Scholarships from the Bill and Shireen Kirk Scholarship Fund will be awarded annually to third or fourth year undergraduate, masters, or doctoral students who exhibit need and are interested in pursuing degrees in a civil engineering or pavement infrastructure-focused major, with an emphasis on asphalt materials and its use.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be classified as a junior or senior in a bachelor’s degree program, or enrolled in a master’s or doctoral degree program
- Must pursue a degree in civil engineering or a pavement infrastructure-focused major
- Must have an academic focus related to asphalt materials and their applications
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must submit a financial need assessment for the upcoming academic year
- Must maintain full-time enrollment during each semester unless an approved exception is granted
- Recipients who withdraw from school without an approved reason may lose the scholarship
Application Process
- Review all scholarship eligibility requirements and program guidelines
- Complete the scholarship application and provide all requested academic information
- Prepare and submit a financial need assessment for the upcoming school year
- Provide any required supporting documentation, including transcripts and enrollment information

The Kirk Scholars Program Review Panel will make the final determination on all cases concerning the interpretation of the eligibility, guidelines and rules of the scholarship fund.
