The Bird Dog Foundation's Annual Youth Art Contest for grades K-12 is held each year and has become very popular with local students. The program is available for students of schools or home schools that are within a 75 mile radius of the National Bird Dog Museum in Grand Junction, TN. We receive hundreds of entries each year from area schools.
Scholarship Details
- Supports college-bound high school seniors through an annual essay competition
- Scholarships are awarded as one-time payments directly to the recipient's accredited college or university
- Winning essays must comply with all official contest rules and guidelines
- Winners are recognized at the National Bird Dog Museum in Grand Junction, Tennessee
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a graduating high school senior entering the first year of college
- Must be a United States citizen
- Must reside in Tennessee, Mississippi, or Arkansas, or be affiliated with a bird dog club, organization, or field trial association located elsewhere in the United States
- Must plan to attend an accredited college or university
- Must submit an original essay that meets all contest requirements
Application Process
- Review the official essay contest rules, guidelines, and suggested topics
- Write an original essay that follows all contest requirements
- Prepare a cover sheet including your full name, mailing address, email address, phone number, date, and your current school's name and address
- Review your essay and cover sheet for accuracy and completeness
- Submit the required materials according to the official contest instructions before the application deadline
- Monitor communications regarding scholarship selection and winner announcements
There is no requirement for students to submit private secure information in order to enter the Essay Contest. Required information is only the entrant's full name, complete residential mailing address, email address, phone number (for alternative contact, if needed), date, and the name and address of the school they currently attend.
