The Burger King Foundation offers scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $60,000 to high school seniors, Burger King employees, and the families of Burger King employees. Awards are presented each year to individuals demonstrating academic achievement, financial need, leadership, and community involvement.
Scholarship Details
- Multiple scholarships awarded each year
- Award amounts range from $1,000 to $60,000
- Only the first 50,000 applications will be considered
- All applicants are notified by email in May
- Scholarships offered:
- James W. McLamore WHOPPER® Scholarships – $60,000
- Nancy McLamore Scholarship – $20,000
- King Awards – $10,000
- Regional Awards – $5,000
- General High School Senior Track Scholarships – $1,000
- Franchisee-Sponsored Scholarships – $1,000
- Employee-Based Track Scholarships – amounts vary
Eligibility Criteria
- Live in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, or Guam
- Must be one of the following:
- High school senior planning to enroll full-time at an accredited college, university, or vocational/technical school
- Burger King employee or immediate family member pursuing postsecondary education (full- or part-time) or enrichment programs (part-time or intermittent)
Application Process
- Create an online student account and complete the profile
- Provide required documents, including:
- Unofficial or official transcript
- Work experience and extracurricular activities
- Financial information
- Burger King employee information (if applicable)
- Submit the completed application electronically by deadline
