The Carl N. and Margaret Karcher Founders Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll for the first time in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited college or university.
Scholarship Details
- Award amount is $10,000
- Ten scholarships are awarded each year
- Open to graduating high school seniors and first-time college freshmen
- Recognizes students who reflect boldness, ambition, and strong personal values
- Scholarship honors the legacy of Carl N. and Margaret Karcher
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be age 26 or younger
- Must live in one of the 16 states where Carl’s Jr. operates
- Must be enrolling as a full-time college freshman
- Must attend an accredited college or university
- Must be a graduating high school senior or first-time freshman applicant
Application Process
- Complete the official scholarship application through the applicant portal
- Submit either a 30 to 90 second video or a 250-word written response explaining how higher education will help you pursue your passion
- Provide contact information for a recommender who can submit a recommendation on your behalf
- Ensure the recommendation is submitted through the portal before the deadline
- Submit all required materials by 3 p.m. Pacific Time on March 31st
