Scholarship Description

The Carson-Newman Center for Community Engagement empowers students to become active members of their communities, mindful servant-leaders, and dedicated agents of social change. The Center for Community Engagement's vision is for a campus, county, and region where we are all well-equipped to have critical conversations and serve our community alongside one another. Throughout their generosity, the Carson-Newman Center for Community Engagement offers scholarships to incoming students.

Carson-Newman University is part of a national network of over 75 colleges and universities affiliated with the Corella & Bertram F. Bonner Foundation, a non-profit organization in Princeton, NJ, dedicated to “providing access to education and opportunities to serve.” Students admitted to the Bonner Scholars program at Carson-Newman receive a package of scholarship support in return for participating in an intensive program of community service, professional skill development, and working for positive change in the world.
