Scholarship Details
- Renewable $1,000 annual scholarship
- Available to in-state, out-of-state, and special tuition classification students (e.g., Western Undergraduate Exchange and Mountains and Plains programs)
- Can be combined with other merit or transfer scholarships offered by CMU
- One award per student, even if both parents or legal guardians are graduates
- Not available to international students or those with a prior bachelor's degree
Eligibility Criteria
- First-time degree-seeking student
- Parent or legal guardian must have earned a degree or certificate from CMU or CMU Tech
- Must be enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours per semester)
- Degree-seeking with a certificate, associate, or bachelor's program
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (high school or college)
- Must be a U.S. citizen, valid permanent resident, or have ASSET status
Renewal Criteria
- Complete a minimum of 12 credit hours each fall and spring semester
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at CMU
- Eligible until earning a bachelor’s degree or reaching 120 attempted credit hours
