The CTSPJ Bob Eddy Scholarships support journalism students with strong academic and professional promise who are either studying in Connecticut or are Connecticut residents studying elsewhere.
Scholarship Details
- Four scholarships awarded
- Award amounts: $2,500, $1,500, and (2) $1,000
- Funds are paid to the student’s school or bursar’s office
- Supports students entering junior or senior year
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be entering junior or senior year in the fall of the application year
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university
- Must either attend a school in Connecticut or be a Connecticut resident studying journalism anywhere
- Must be pursuing a degree in journalism
Application Process
- Complete the online application form.
- Submit samples of your journalism work (PDFs or other formats).
- Write and submit a 500-word essay on a current event of interest.
- Mail unofficial transcripts to the provided address.
- Ensure all materials are submitted by the stated deadline.
