Scholarship Description

Construction Angels, Inc. (CA) is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit charity that provides immediate financial assistance and grief counseling to the children and spouse left behind when a construction worker is involved in an accidental work-related fatality. We offer construction scholarship opportunities to qualified applicants and additional scholarships to surviving children/spouses of a fallen worker.

Scholarship Details

  • Scholarships are awarded annually
  • Supports students pursuing education in construction-related fields and surviving spouses and children of construction workers lost in work-related fatalities
  • Scholarship amounts vary each year based on fundraising proceeds
  • Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, textbooks, coursework materials, fees, and room and board
  • Recipients may reapply in future years if they continue to meet eligibility requirements

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be pursuing postsecondary education in a construction-related field, or be the surviving child or spouse of a construction worker who died in a construction-related work accident
  • Must complete and submit the scholarship application and required supporting materials
  • Must attend or plan to attend an eligible postsecondary institution that requires a high school diploma or GED for admission
  • Eligible institutions may include accredited four-year colleges and universities, two-year colleges, vocational technical schools, and construction training institutions
  • Construction-industry applicants must pursue education related to the construction field

Application Process

  1. Complete the scholarship application according to the provided instructions
  2. Gather all required supporting documentation and educational information
  3. Submit the completed application electronically or by mail
  4. Ensure mailed applications are postmarked no later than July 3rd
  5. Respond promptly to any requests for additional information during the review process

Eligibility of Applicants for the Construction Angels Scholarship Fund requires applicants to complete the application who are furthering their education in construction, or have lost their parent/spouse due to a construction-related fatality. An Applicant who has lost a parent/spouse due to a construction-related accident may apply to any continuing education institution for financial aid.
