The Corvias Foundation Purple Tassel College Scholarship for military dependents who are high school seniors pursuing a four-year college degree.
Scholarship applications open January 30th and close on March 20th. Funds may be used for cost of attendance, including direct costs (tuition, fees, on-campus housing/food) and indirect costs (books, supplies, transportation, required equipment such as a personal computer).
Scholarship Details
- Awards of up to $20,000
- Open to high school seniors from active-duty military families
- Selection based on academic performance, community involvement, and financial need
- For-profit and proprietary schools may be considered upon review
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be the dependent of an active-duty service member stationed at one of the following installations at the time of application or deadline: Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland, Fort Bragg North Carolina, Fort Meade Maryland, Fort Polk Louisiana, Fort Riley Kansas, Fort Rucker Alabama, or Fort Sill Oklahoma
- Must be a graduating high school senior
- Must meet evaluation criteria related to academic performance, community involvement, and financial need
Application Process
- Gather required documentation including a copy of your DD1173 Form or equivalent military dependent identification
- Obtain the most current Duty Station or PCS Orders for your active-duty parent
- Prepare your most recent high school transcript
- Request at least one and up to two letters of recommendation
- Create a detailed resume outlining employment, extracurricular activities, and achievements
