The CPCU Society NextGen Scholarship supports undergraduate students pursuing careers in risk management and insurance. This scholarship provides students with financial support as they prepare for careers in the risk and insurance industry.
Scholarship Details
- 20 scholarships of $5,000 each are awarded
- Scholarship funds are sent directly to the recipient's college or university
- Funds may be used for outstanding educational expenses, including tuition, books and other fees
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a full-time undergraduate student attending a U.S. institution
- Must be majoring in risk management, actuarial science, finance, business, or information systems, and/or have a strong desire to pursue a career in the risk and insurance industry after graduation
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Must not have previously received a NextGen Scholarship
Application Process
- Complete the NextGen Scholarship Application
- Obtain a college transcript, with unofficial copies accepted
- Request at least one letter of recommendation from a professor
- Prepare a personal statement of 750 words or fewer addressing the prompt about an industry or societal need the applicant hopes to address through a career in the risk and insurance industry
- Submit the completed application and all required materials
