Eligibility Criteria

Application Process
- Apply to an eligible degree program at Curtis Institute of Music through the application portal
- Upload an unofficial copy of your transcript through the application portal; official transcripts are requested only after acceptance
- Submit recommendation letters and any required unofficial transcripts by December 31st
- Submit all required prescreening materials, including recordings and scores for composition applicants, with your application
- Review the audition dates and ensure that you are available for your department's required audition
- Wait for an audition invitation, which may be released on a rolling basis beginning in mid-January; applicants will be notified at least one month before their department's audition date
- Complete the audition
- If admitted but unable to enroll as planned, submit a deferral request for consideration on a case-by-case basis
