The Mary Murphy Scholarship, established by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Century City Alumnae Chapter, is designed to provide financial support to women pursuing graduate and professional degrees, especially in the fields where African American women are underrepresented.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a woman pursuing a graduate or professional degree
- Must demonstrate academic achievement and leadership experience
- Must show involvement in civic engagement or community service
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale
- Must be enrolled in or accepted to an academic institution
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application form in full.
- Obtain two letters of recommendation, one focused on academic or professional achievements and one on civic engagement.
- Provide verification of enrollment or admission to your academic institution.
- Submit an official transcript showing your GPA.
- Ensure all materials are submitted before the April 30th deadline.
- Participate in a required virtual interview if selected as a candidate.
