Each year, the Arlington Foundation for Excellence in Education awards a variety of scholarships to high school and college/career students. Eligibility requirements are listed on each scholarship application. To be considered for a scholarship, the application and all supporting materials must be submitted by the stated deadline. The Arlington Foundation for Excellence in Education offers numerous awards based on different criteria.
The Spirit of Achievement Scholarship was named to honor Dr. Odom-Wesley for her commitment and passion for education and her beloved Alpha Kappa Alpha. Scholarship applicants must be African-American female high school seniors currently attending classes in Tarrant County or Grand Prairie. This scholarship may be used at any two-year or four-year college or university. Trade, technical and cosmetology schools are ineligible. A minimum 3.0 GPA is also required.
