The Dream Haiti Scholarship is for students who are of Haitian descent, attending a college in
the U.S and have a desire to make a difference in their community as well as the Haitian
community.
Scholarship Details
- Award Amounts: $1,000, $1,500, and $2,000
- Number of Scholarships: 3
- Additional Opportunities: Scholars may be invited to seminars and networking events hosted by Dream Haiti
- Deadline: July 15th
- Award Notification: No later than August 15th
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be of Haitian descent
- Must be a full-time student
- Must demonstrate leadership potential and community service involvement
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
Application Process
- Submit the completed application and required documents to Dream Haiti
- Participate in a live or video interview
- Ensure that the application includes the following attachments:
- Letter of acceptance from a college or trade school
- Official grade transcript
- Resume (if available)
- Essay (200 words minimum) or 2-3 minute video addressing the following questions:
- Your background and reasons for attending college
- Your dreams for the future
- Your vision for the future of Haiti and how your success can positively impact the Haitian community
- Letter of recommendation from an advisor, pastor, teacher, mentor, or employer
- Application deadline: July 15th
Accepted scholars may be invited to various seminars and connect events over the course of their college years put on by Dream Haiti.
