The CalvertHealth Foundation Scholarship Fund provides tuition assistance to students who are pursuing higher education in medicine and allied health fields. The Foundation has awarded more than 510 scholarships totaling $755,000 to area students pursing higher education in medicine and allied health fields.
Scholarship Details
- Open to Calvert County high school graduates pursuing a Doctorate in Medicine
- Pre-determined scholarship amount (varies annually)
- Funds awarded beginning in July following the application cycle
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a graduate of a Calvert County high school
- Must be admitted to an accredited medical school at the time of application
- Must hold a minimum GPA of 2.5
Application Process
- Complete the official scholarship application form thoroughly and neatly
- Provide three references and ensure each completes the online reference questionnaire
- Attach current official high school and/or college transcripts along with proof of acceptance to an accredited medical school
- Sign and date the completed application
- Submit all materials by April 15th via mail or online submission
- References may also be emailed directly
- Reapply annually to be considered for continued financial support
This scholarship is open to students who graduated from a Calvert County High School and are pursuing a doctorate in medicine. Qualified applicants are selected without regard to race, creed, color, religion, or gender.
