Since East Kings County Alumnae Chapter’s chartering in 2007, the Scholarship Committee has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to college-bound high school seniors recognizing the outstanding academic achievement of graduates in our service area who demonstrate a desire to pursue higher education. Applicants must be high school students who reside in the EKC service areas of eastern Brooklyn, New York City. Applicants must be African-American students who plan to enroll in a four-year college or university.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is an organization of college-educated women committed to the constructive development of its members and to public service with a primary focus on the black community. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a private, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. Among their initiatives is offering scholarships.
