Scholarship Description

The Endowment for South Asian Students of Indian Descent Scholarship supports Pennsylvania medical students of South Asian Indian heritage as they pursue their medical education. Established in 2002 by Drs. Jitendra M. and Saryu J. Desai, the scholarship recognizes deserving students who demonstrate financial need and academic commitment. Administered through the Student Financial Services area of the Foundation, the program is part of a broader effort to support future physicians throughout Pennsylvania. The scholarship helps reduce financial barriers for qualified medical students while encouraging diversity within the medical profession.
