The EOD Warrior Foundation grants provide financial assistance for expenses such as childcare, adaptive equipment, retreats, travel expenses, and debt relief. All active-duty, veteran, and retired EOD technicians, in addition to wounded, ill, and injured EOD technicians, family members and family members of the fallen, are eligible to apply. Each grant is decided on a case-by-case basis.
Scholarship Details
- Undergraduate scholarships range from $1,000 to $4,000
- Post-graduate scholarships are awarded in the amount of $5,000
- Exceptional applicants may receive special $5,000 awards with recognition at the annual EOD Ball
- Priority is given to dependents of Purple Heart recipients and Gold Star children and spouses
- Scholarship funds are disbursed directly to the school
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be the child, stepchild, spouse, grandchild, or DoD recognized dependent of a NAVSCOLEOD graduate
- NAVSCOLEOD graduates and active duty service members are not eligible
- Service Academy cadets are not eligible to receive awards
- Undergraduate applicants must be high school seniors or currently enrolled full time in an accredited college or university
- Undergraduate dependents must be 23 years or younger, with no age limit for spouses
- Post-graduate applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in an accredited post-graduate program
- There is no age limit for post-graduate applicants
Application Process
- Complete the online scholarship application during the designated application window
- Submit all required materials and click submit before the application deadline
- Applications are reviewed by the EOD Warrior Foundation Scholarship Committee
- Selected undergraduate applicants are notified by email in May
- Selected post-graduate applicants are notified by email in mid June
Each application will be reviewed by the EOD Warrior Foundation Scholarship Committee. The committee members are anonymous. Neither the Executive Director nor the staff are members of the committee and do not participate in the evaluation of the applications.
