Scholarship Details
- Equitable offers 100 annual scholarships of $5,000, renewable each academic year for four years, totaling $20,000 per recipient.
- Additionally, 100 one-time scholarships of $2,500 are awarded to assist with immediate educational expenses.
- Each scholarship recipient's high school receives a $500 grant.
- Recipients also nominate a public school teacher who has significantly impacted them for a $500 DonorsChoose gift card.
- Beyond financial support, Equitable provides development opportunities and engagement programs, including mentoring, networking, and skill-building with Equitable’s workforce and executive leadership.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be current high school seniors planning to enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the U.S. for the entire upcoming academic year.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident residing in the 50 U.S. states, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
- Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
- Willingness to provide a release for publicizing their achievements and information, including photographs, for Program promotion.
Application Process
- Graduating high school seniors can apply in the fall by submitting an essay demonstrating their courage, strength in overcoming challenges, and wisdom in sharing their experiences.
- A current, complete transcript of grades. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
