Each year since its inception in 2004, FAITH celebrates the academic achievements of young leaders within the Greek and Hellenic American community by awarding merit-based scholarships to some of the community’s most promising graduating high school seniors from across the country.
Scholarship Details
- Merit-based scholarship awarded annually to graduating high school seniors
- Open to students of Hellenic descent and/or Greek Orthodox faith
- Recipients become part of a national network of over 750 FAITH Scholars
- Additional need-based funding considered with submission of financial documentation
- Award checks are made out to recipients and mailed to the address provided
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be graduating from a public, private, or parochial high school in the U.S.
- Must be entering a 4-year accredited undergraduate program in the coming Fall
- Must be of Hellenic descent and/or a practicing member of the Greek Orthodox faith and parish
Application Process
- Visit the FAITH Endowment website to access the scholarship application
- Complete the online application and submit all required academic and personal materials
- Optionally include financial documents to be considered for additional need-based funding
- Submit the application by the deadline (check website for exact date)
- Watch for notification of the Review Committee’s decision via email in September
Recipients of the FAITH Scholarship for Academic Excellence join a network of more than 750 existing FAITH Scholars who display the exceptional scholarly intellect lauded by our Hellenic ancestors and also, a magnificent spirit of charity, community service and good citizenship which is at the very core of our Orthodox Christian values.
