The Fred Rogers Scholars Program is a four-year, merit-based scholarship program designed to educate and inspire students who are interested in pursuing careers that serve children. Students of all majors are invited to apply.
Scholarship Details

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be applying to or admitted to Saint Vincent College
- Minimum 3.50 QPA (quality point average) required
- Demonstrated interest in helping children
- Interest in the work and legacy of Fred Rogers
Application Process
- Apply to or gain admission to Saint Vincent College
- Complete the Fred Rogers Scholars Program application form
- Provide academic records confirming a minimum 3.50 QPA
- Prepare a personal statement or essay describing your career goals, interest in serving children, and connection to Fred Rogers’ legacy
- Submit all required materials by the program’s application deadline
Fred Rogers Scholars receive a scholarship of up to $2,500 renewed annually and a wealth of opportunities to learn about and apply Fred’s legacy. Throughout the program, students connect their particular area of interest with the work of Fred Rogers to develop specialized knowledge in how Fred’s legacy integrates with their areas of study and extend Fred’s practice and principles in a variety of professions.
