Iota Phi Lambda Sorority awards scholarships for scholastic achievement to female graduating high school seniors wishing to pursue a college degree in business related fields. The National Scholarship is held annually. Judging criteria will include academic performance/achievement, career aspirations, demonstrated leadership, and financial need.
Scholarship Details
- Four regional scholarships of $5,000 each awarded annually
- One national scholarship of $10,000 awarded annually
- Scholarship awarded based on merit and financial need
- Focused on students pursuing business-related fields of study
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a female graduating high school senior
- Must plan to pursue a college degree in a business-related field
- Must demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and career aspirations
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must reside in Richmond, Virginia, or within a 50-mile radius of the city
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship consent form and student application, including parent or guardian signatures if under age 18
- Prepare a 300 to 500 word autobiographical essay describing career aspirations, leadership experiences, and significant achievements
- Obtain a current official academic transcript
- Secure two letters of recommendation
- Gather family income documentation with Social Security numbers redacted
- Include supporting documentation and a business or professional photograph
- Combine all materials into a single PDF document
- Submit the complete application electronically through the Google Form by January 15th
