Scholarship Description

Iota Phi Lambda Sorority awards scholarships for scholastic achievement to female graduating high school seniors wishing to pursue a college degree in business related fields. The National Scholarship is held annually. Judging criteria will include academic performance/achievement, career aspirations, demonstrated leadership, and financial need.

Scholarship Details

  • Four regional scholarships of $5,000 each awarded annually
  • One national scholarship of $10,000 awarded annually
  • Scholarship awarded based on merit and financial need
  • Focused on students pursuing business-related fields of study

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a female graduating high school senior
  • Must plan to pursue a college degree in a business-related field
  • Must demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and career aspirations
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Must reside in Richmond, Virginia, or within a 50-mile radius of the city

Application Process

  1. Complete the scholarship consent form and student application, including parent or guardian signatures if under age 18
  2. Prepare a 300 to 500 word autobiographical essay describing career aspirations, leadership experiences, and significant achievements
  3. Obtain a current official academic transcript
  4. Secure two letters of recommendation
  5. Gather family income documentation with Social Security numbers redacted
  6. Include supporting documentation and a business or professional photograph
  7. Combine all materials into a single PDF document
  8. Submit the complete application electronically through the Google Form by January 15th
