Scholarship Description

The National Association of Asian American Professionals – Philadelphia (NAAAP Philadelphia) created its Future Leaders Scholarship to recognize Asian/Asian American students who exhibit exceptional leadership potential. Since 2010, this initiative has supported graduating high school seniors and college students from the Philadelphia region who are committed to creating a positive social impact. Selected recipients will receive a $2,000 scholarship for educational expenses.

Scholarship Details

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must identify as Asian or Asian American
  • Must be a graduating high school senior or current college student
  • Must reside in or attend school in the Philadelphia region
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership potential and community involvement

Application Process

  1. Complete the NAAAP Philadelphia Future Leaders Scholarship application through the online form.
  2. Prepare and submit an essay, resume, and unofficial transcript with the application.
  3. Request one letter of recommendation from a professor, counselor, advisor, or manager.
  4. ave your recommender complete the official recommendation form.
  5. Submit all required materials before the posted deadline.

This scholarship program benefits graduating high school seniors and current college students who are Asian/Asian American. Several high school and college students will be selected within their respective pools to receive $1,000 in scholarship money, to be used toward tuition, books, and/or living expenses.
