Scholarship Description

The Alpha Gamma Chapter of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Inc., is pleased to announce that it will award one $1000 scholarship to a qualifying graduating high school seniors pursuing a post-secondary education.

Scholarship Details

  • One $1,000 scholarship awarded annually
  • Open to graduating high school seniors from the metro-Atlanta area
  • Supports students pursuing post-secondary education, certification, or trade programs
  • Award intended to assist students in achieving their academic and professional goals

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a graduating high school senior in the metro-Atlanta area
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8
  • Must be accepted to an accredited business college, college/university, or vocational school
  • Must demonstrate commitment and motivation toward academic success

Application Process

  1. Complete the Scholarship Applicant General Information Form
  2. Submit a typed letter of intent explaining your academic and professional goals and how the scholarship will assist you
  3. Provide a current official high school transcript
  4. Submit one recommendation letter from a teacher, school counselor, or school administrator
  5. Submit one recommendation letter from a relative (other than a parent), friend, employer, or clergy member
  6. Provide a copy of your college, certification, or trade school acceptance letter
  7. Submit a typed essay of at least 500 words answering the provided prompt
