Scholarship Description

Education is vital to the growth and future of every community. Because of this, the Saginaw Community Foundation administers a variety of scholarship programs for high school, community college, university and vocational students. Since awarding our first $500 scholarship in 1987, the Saginaw Community Foundation has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships. The Gary K. Barker Science Scholarship was created for talented science students to pursue college studies in science, engineering or science education. Eligible applicants must: be a high school senior/college student who spent his/her senior year and at least one additional year in the high school math/science program at the Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy (SASA) or the Center for Arts and Sciences (CAS); and, be pursuing an undergraduate degree or graduate degree in science, engineering, or science education. Dollar amounts will vary.
