The Genoa U.S. Indian School Foundation/Wolfe Family Scholarship honors the legacy of Native American students who attended the Genoa U.S. Indian School between 1884 and 1934. This $2,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a direct descendant of a former Genoa Indian School student who is pursuing higher education. The scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis and is paid directly to the recipient’s college or university upon proof of class registration.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be accepted into an accredited program of higher education
- Must provide a copy of current college transcript or high school transcript (if a high school senior)
- Must be a direct descendant of a former Genoa U.S. Indian School student and provide documentation
- Must express an interest in the history of the Genoa Indian School

- Complete the scholarship application form
- Provide documentation of your relationship to a Genoa Indian School alumnus
- Submit a personal statement explaining how your ancestor’s experience at the school has inspired you and how you plan to stay involved with the Genoa Indian School Foundation
- Include a letter of recommendation from a teacher or employer
- Attach a transcript of your latest grades
- Submit the completed application by June 15th
