The purpose of the George Choy Memorial / Gay Asian Pacific Alliance (GAPA) Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender, LGBTQ Asian and Pacific Islanders (API) in the Bay Area who are in the process of applying to, or are currently attending a post-secondary institution in the United States in the upcoming academic year. All candidates for the scholarship will be notified about the status of their application by the end of summer.
