Scholarship Description

This scholarship program recognizes students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and a strong commitment to community involvement. Scholarships are awarded annually to students pursuing undergraduate degrees or certificate programs at colleges, universities, or trade schools.

Scholarship Details

  • Annual scholarship award: $3,000
  • Scholarships are not renewable
  • Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and required equipment
  • Applications accepted annually from February through June
  • Recipients announced in August

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must demonstrate academic achievement
  • Must show leadership abilities
  • Must demonstrate commitment to community service and extracurricular involvement
  • Must provide proof of enrollment if selected as a recipient
  • Previous winners may reapply if eligibility requirements continue to be met

Application Process

  1. Complete and submit the scholarship application during the application period.
  2. Provide information regarding academic achievements, leadership, and community involvement.
  3. Submit all required supporting documentation.
  4. If selected, provide proof of enrollment at an eligible college, university, or trade school.
  5. Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the institution’s financial aid or bursar’s office.

If you are notified as a recipient of the scholarship, you must provide GTE with a proof of enrollment for the upcoming year at a university/college/trade school. Once GTE Financial receives your proof of enrollment, we will fund your corresponding university/college/trade school office (i.e. Financial Aid or Bursar's Office), appearing as a reimbursement from GTE Financial on your tuition bill.
