The Heisman High School Scholarship extends the Heisman prestige to our nation’s most esteemed male and female high school seniors by recognizing and rewarding outstanding scholar-athletes who understand that the most important victories not only happen on the field, but in their schools and communities. To be eligible, applicants must: have participated in grades 9, 10, or 11 in at least one of the sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee in the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, the Paralympic Games or the National Federation of State High School Associations; and have at least a 3.0 GPA. There are three levels of awards (state winners, national finalists and national winners), so the number of recipients and dollar amounts will vary. Scholarship awardees can attend any accredited college or university in the United States, and must plan to be enrolled full time (a minimum of 12 hours per semester or quarter).
