This scholarship program is seeking to support Plano ISD students who persevered to overcome significant adversity, and have financial need, who are motivated and academically capable of successfully earning a college degree. Students may apply starting on December 1st.
Scholarship Details
- Open exclusively to graduating seniors from Plano ISD high schools in Texas
- Applicants must have at least a 3.0 weighted GPA
- Scholarships are part of a broader program offering long-term support
- Awards will be announced at each high school’s senior awards night
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a current high school senior attending a Plano ISD school
- Must have a minimum weighted GPA of 3.0
- Must demonstrate financial need through FAFSA Estimator or TASFA results
- Must show perseverance through adversity and a strong desire to attend college
- Must submit one letter of recommendation from someone outside your academic life (not a family member)
- Must use a personal (non-school) email address for application correspondence
Application Process
- Complete the online application and provide personal contact information using a personal email address
- Submit FAFSA Estimator results or TASFA to demonstrate financial eligibility
- Upload one form of financial documentation (e.g., parent’s tax return, W-2, or 1040)
- Prepare and upload a resume highlighting work experience, volunteerism, and extracurricular involvement
- Respond to essay prompts about personal adversity, resilience, and college aspirations (viewable on the application)
- Submit one letter of recommendation from a non-family member outside your academic life
- Await finalist notification via email; awards will be announced at senior awards night

Only apply if you are going to be graduating from a Plano ISD high school this year and entering college in the fall following your high school graduation.
