The Historic Lincoln School Alumni Foundation (HLSAF) awards grants to high school seniors and undergraduates who reside in the Edwardsville, Illinois District 7 region. Many students receive the award each year.
Scholarship Details
- Need-based with consideration to merit
- Renewable for up to 5 years
- Number of recipients varies each year
- Online and printed applications are accepted
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum GPA of 2.0
- College-bound high school senior or full-time college student
- Residence and high school attendance in the District 7 region
- Financial need and high academic achievement
- Extracurricular involvement
Application Process
- Complete the application form when submissions open
- Include the following documents:
- Academic transcripts
- Essay response (250 word minimum)
- Full-time college schedule (once registered)
- ACT or SAT results (high school seniors only)
- If you are submitting your application online, submit it in advance of the deadline
- If you are mailing a printed application, ensure it is postmarked prior to the deadline
The HLSAF may request photos of recipients to publish in the local newspaper. The scholarship funds will only be awarded upon the HLSAF's receipt of winners' college course schedules to ensure they are enrolled full-time.
