Scholarship Details

  • Academic Level: Scholarship available for junior or senior year students.
  • GPA Requirement: Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
  • Professional Education Program: Be admitted into the professional education program.
  • Career Goals: Pursue a career that aligns with one of the following:
    • Teaching Bible, theology, or religion studies at a Christian school.
    • Directing the education ministry of a Reformed Christian church.
  • Financial Need: Financial need is taken into consideration.

Application Process

  1. Eligible Year: Ensure you are entering your junior or senior year.
  2. GPA Requirement: Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
  3. Admission: Be admitted into the professional education program.
  4. Career Goals: Plan to pursue a career aligned with teaching Bible, theology, or religion studies at a Christian school or directing the education ministry of a Reformed Christian church.
  5. Financial Need: Understand that financial need will be considered.

The Hoeks Family Scholarship will be awarded to a Calvin junior or senior who demonstrates the desire to "seek first the Kingdom of God" while preparing to teach Bible, theology or religion studies at a Christian school or to direct the education ministry of a Reformed Christian church. Applicants must be entering their junior or senior year and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students must also be preparing to direct the education ministry of a Reformed Christian church. Financial need is considered.
