The Horatio Alger Association administers over 70 scholarship programs, offering opportunities for students in various stages of their academic careers to achieve their educational goals and realize their potential. Learn more about our programs and determine which one is the best fit for you.
Currently, there are 243 scholarships of up to $60,000 being offered to high school seniors who will be attending college immediately following their high school graduation. Eligibility will vary somewhat, based on which specific scholarship the student is applying for. The basic qualifications are listed below.
Eligibility
- Be enrolled full time as a high school senior in the United States
- Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at a Horatio Alger partner college immediately after high school graduation
- Demonstrate critical financial need ($65,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required)
- Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
- Maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0
- Be a United States citizen
