Scholarship Description

The HPFY Make a Difference Scholarship aims to encourage and support high school seniors as well as undergraduate and graduate students who have not let their disability impede their life and ambitions. The scholarship program also recognizes and rewards selfless individuals who care for those in need, give back to their communities, and do their part in making the world a better place.

Scholarship Details

  • Sponsored by Health Products For You (HPFY)
  • One $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually
  • Open to eligible high school seniors and current college students
  • Recipient is selected based on the application essay and supporting documentation
  • Winner is announced by the second week of October

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a current high school senior accepted to an accredited U.S. college, university, or technical college, or a current full-time college student
  • Must be enrolled full-time
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Must have completed at least 100 documented volunteer hours providing care, comfort, or service to those in need over a two-year period

Application Process

  1. Email your completed scholarship application by the published deadline.
  2. Include your personal contact information.
  3. Submit documentation showing your current GPA and volunteer hours.
  4. Write and submit an original essay of at least 500 words describing your favorite community service project and how it influenced your life.
  5. Include any optional letters of recommendation or supporting documents you would like the selection committee to consider.

If all eligibility requirements are satisfied, the recipient will be selected on the basis of their essay and the supporting documentation. The selected recipient of the $1000 scholarship will be notified by email and featured on the Giving Day page on our website by the second week of October.
