Scholarship Description

Health Products For You is proud to offer scholarships to high school seniors who have been accepted to a college or to students currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate schools. As a premium online retailer offering health care products, medical supplies and home care medical equipment we know firsthand the challenges presented by physical and mental disabilities, not just for the patient but also the care givers. Health Products For You scholarship program aims to encourage and support undergraduate, and graduate students who suffer from any disability. This program also aims to recognize the service of those who have used their good fortune and good health to give back to the community, either by caring for the less fortunate or doing their part to make this world a better place for everyone.

HPFY Disability Scholarship: This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving high school senior who plans to attend a vocational or academic college. Applicant can also be a student currently enrolled in college.

Requirements for Disability Scholarship: Be a current high school senior or a college student living with a documented disability. If the applicant is a high school student, then he or she should be planning to attend an undergraduate program in a 2 or 4 -year University/College or Technical College in the fall of the academic year following high-school graduation. Schools must be in the USA. Enrollment status in school or college must be full time or half time.

How to Apply: To apply for the HPFY Disability Scholarship, email the following to [email protected] August 15th.

Personal information, including full name, date of birth, mailing address and phone number. Proof of enrollment which can be a enrollment certificate or transcript of your most recent GPA.( The GPA does not affect the selection) Medical documents to prove the disability. An essay of minimum 500 words that speaks about your personal trials and triumphs in life related to your illness or disability and how that has defined the person you are today. Any supporting documents or letters of recommendations from teachers, mentors or advisers that you would like the selection committee to consider. If all the eligibility requirements are met, the recipient will be selected on the basis of their essay and the supporting documents. The selected recipient will be notified by email and featured on the Giving Day page on our website by the second week of September.

HPFY Make a Difference Scholarship: This scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who has spent at least 100 hours volunteering to provide care, comfort or service to those in need. Applicant can also be a student currently enrolled in college.

Requirements for Make a Difference Scholarship: Be a current high school senior or a college student. If the applicant is a high school student, then he or she should have a letter of acceptance from an accredited University/College or Technical College for the fall of the academic year following high-school graduation. Schools must be in the USA. Enrollment status in school or college must be full time. Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher Have a minimum of 100 documented hours volunteering in the local community providing care, comfort and service to those in need. These hours can be collected over a period of two years. How to Apply: To apply for the HPFY Make a Difference Scholarship, email the following to [email protected] by August 15th.

Documentation to prove the volunteer hours done. An essay of minimum 500 words that speaks about your favorite community service project and how that project changed the way you lived life. Any supporting documents or letters of recommendations from teachers, mentors or advisers that you would like the selection committee to consider. If all the eligibility requirements are met then the selection of the recipient will be based on the essay and the supporting documents. The selected recipient of this $500 Scholarship will be notified by email and featured on the Giving Day page on our website by the second week of September.
