The IAEE DE&I Scholarship was established by IAEE member Rochelle Richardson, CEM. Rochelle is passionate about setting children up for success. The purpose of the scholarship is to promote and bring visibility to the exhibitions, meetings and business events industry for graduating high school students of diverse backgrounds and from under-served and economically and socially disadvantaged communities in order to create an equal opportunity for the recipient to achieve a two-year or four-year college-level education program.

- Scholarship award of up to $2,500 in tuition assistance

Eligibility Criteria
- Graduating high school senior
- From a diverse, under-served, or economically or socially disadvantaged background
- Combined family income of less than $120,000
- Accepted into a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited institution
- Declared major in exhibition, event, or hospitality management
- Other majors considered only if career intent in the exhibition, event, or hospitality industry is clearly demonstrated
Application Process
- Complete the online IAEE DEI Scholarship application
- Upload proof of combined family income under $120,000
- Submit an official high school transcript
- Provide an acceptance letter for a full-time undergraduate program
- Submit the required essay through the online form
- Upload two letters of recommendation from high school teachers or a counselor
- Upload a resume detailing extracurricular activities, leadership roles, awards, and work experience
Scholarships are awarded competitively based upon pursuit of a degreed major focusing on exhibition, event, and/or hospitality management. The scholarship includes up to $2,500 in tuition assistance.
