The International Gay Bowling Organization (IGBO) Presidential Scholarship is open to LGBTQIA+ individuals who are active in the LGBTQIA+ community and currently enrolled at an accredited college/university or other post-secondary educational institution as an undergraduate or graduate student, and have maintained a 3.0 GPA
Scholarship Details
- One scholarship awarded
- Funds are awarded directly to the student
- Application deadline: June 30th
- Award distributed by July 31st
Eligibility Criteria
- Must identify as part of and be actively involved in the LGBTQIA+ community
- Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must participate in a collegiate bowling team, league, or tournament
Application Process
- Complete the online scholarship application.
- Submit a 250–300 word essay or a short video (up to 2 minutes) responding to the prompt.
- Arrange for a recommendation letter to be emailed by a mentor, coach, teacher, or team member.
- Upload an unofficial transcript.
- Upload bowling league sheets or competition results.
- Application deadline: June 30th
The IGBO Presidential Scholarship was established to further our commitment to supporting and strengthening our community.
