Through the generous support of our chapter, the IIA Heartland-Iowa Chapter has established a scholarship fund to provide
financial assistance to those interested in pursuing educational opportunities in the field of information systems/technology (IS/IT),
computer sciences, finance, accounting, risk management, or related studies.
Scholarship Details
- One individual scholarship of $1,000 each
- Scholarships are applicable for one school year only; recipients may reapply in subsequent years
- Available for part-time or full-time programs
- Scholarship funds are made payable in the name of the recipient
- Recipients are encouraged to attend two chapter events (free of charge) and one virtual Heartland-Iowa Chapter board meeting
Eligibility Criteria
- Pursuing an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in IS/IT, computer sciences, accounting, finance, risk management, or related fields
- Enrolled for the scholarship academic year at an accredited university or community college in Eastern Iowa or Western Illinois
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale
- Complete the scholarship application form and provide supporting information
- Open to all students, including international students, regardless of race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, or disability
- Apply for student membership with the IIA at IIA Student Membership

- Proof of enrollment in an accredited program
- Academic transcripts verifying GPA
- Submit your application and supporting documents by the specified deadline
