Candidates competing for the Camras scholars program—one of Illinois Tech's highest undergraduate academic honors—satisfy very high selection standards. Students must demonstrate outstanding academic abilities, involvement in extracurricular activities, and dedication to leadership. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents or Dreamers who are enrolling as full-time students at Illinois Tech. Full tuition is awarded to the student the first year the Camras Scholarship goes into effect. The same amount is awarded each consecutive year and does not cover the cost of a tuition increase.
Illinois Tech has several of its own competitive scholarship programs that are open to both undergraduate and graduate students. All domestic undergraduate first-year and transfer students are automatically considered for scholarships that cover a generous portion of expenses such as tuition. Graduate students in select degree programs also may be considered for additional special scholarships, beyond any fellowships that they may receive.
