The ISC2 Graduate Scholarship, administered by the Center for Cyber Safety and Education, supports students pursuing advanced degrees in cybersecurity or information assurance. With awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 USD, this scholarship helps cover tuition, fees, books, and required materials for students dedicated to advancing their education and career in cybersecurity.
Scholarship Details
- Applications open January 15 and close March 3 at 11:59 PM EST
- Up to 20 scholarships awarded annually
- Awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 USD
- Funds are sent directly to recipients’ educational institutions
- Scholarship is not renewable; applicants must reapply each year
Eligibility Criteria
- Pursuing or planning to pursue a Master’s Degree or doctoral studies in cybersecurity or information assurance starting in the Fall
- GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (undergraduate GPA applies if newly accepted to graduate school)
- Open to applicants of any citizenship
Application Process
- Prepare unofficial transcripts from your current or most recent educational institution
- Obtain one letter of recommendation addressing the specified criteria
- Create a resume/CV (maximum three pages)
- Complete the essay questions in the application, each with a maximum of 250 words:
- Why you should be chosen and what makes you stand out
- Why you need the scholarship
- Your personal and educational background
- Why you chose your major and your academic/professional goals
- Contributions to the cybersecurity field, extracurricular activities, and hobbies
- Any additional information for consideration
- Submit the completed application by the March 3, 2025, deadline
Not all applicants will receive a scholarship. Scholarships are a one-time award and must be re-applied for each year in order to be considered for another scholarship.
