The Dunn Fellowship Program offers recent college graduates an exceptional one-year opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the operations of state government. Open to graduates from public and private colleges and universities nationwide, this program prepares Fellows with tools for future careers while contributing to the public service sector. The program begins on the first weekday in July and concludes on July 15th of the following year.
Program Details
- One-year fellowship in state government
- Annual salary of $42,500 with full state benefits
- Program duration: July (start date: first weekday) to July 15th of the following year

Eligibility Criteria
- Must have completed a bachelor’s or higher graduate degree within 18 months prior to the program’s start
- Demonstrated academic excellence, leadership ability, and involvement in extracurricular activities and community/public service
- Open to graduates from both public and private colleges and universities nationwide
Application Process
- Complete the Dunn Fellowship application form
- Prepare and submit the following required materials:
- Personal cover letter
- Résumé
- Policy essay
- Copy of official or unofficial academic transcript
- Two letters of recommendation (one academic and one professional; maximum of three letters)
- Ensure all application materials are submitted before the deadline
- Incomplete or late applications will not be considered
