The Young Woman Leadership Scholarship recognizes and supports outstanding female leaders in Maryland who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and volunteer service during their high school years. The Junior League of Baltimore (JLB) seeks to advance women’s leadership and inspire meaningful community impact through this annual $1,000 scholarship. The recipient will be honored at the League’s Annual Meeting in May, with additional scholarships awarded as funds allow.
Scholarship Details
- Annual scholarship award of $1,000
- Honored at the Junior League of Baltimore’s Annual Meeting in May
- Funds are paid directly to the student’s accredited two- or four-year post-secondary institution
Eligibility Criteria
- Must have an outstanding leadership and volunteer record with demonstrated potential for continued success
- Must reside in Maryland and attend a public, charter, private, or parochial high school in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, Carroll County, or Harford County
- Must be a female graduating senior with plans to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year post-secondary institution in the coming Fall
- Must provide verification of college enrollment
- Priority consideration will be given to first-generation college students

- Prepare a personal statement describing your leadership and volunteer experience and future goals
- Provide proof of college enrollment (if available at the time of application)
- Submit the application and supporting materials by the specified deadline
